Selaginella yunckeri Alston

Selaginella yunckeri

Distribution:

Tonga: Kao

local names: –

~~~
This species, which in fact may not even be valid, is said to be restricted to the island of Kao, which is quite unlikely.
~~~

The species is said to be very similar to Selaginella firmula A. Braun ex Kuhn from Fiji, which however, is taller and has more expanded frond-like parts with some large lateral leaves at the upper end of the erect parts of the stems. [1]
