This species is known only from the type collection from 1952, it appears to be endemic to the island of ‘Eua, Tonga, and may now be already extinct.

Fiji: Viti Levu

This species, described in 1942, is endemic to Viti Levu, Fiji, where it appears to be restricted to the Ba Province in the northern part of the island.

It is a small, up to 5 m tall tree, that is found locally in wet forests at elevations of 600 to 1130 m. [1]
